Minister returns from medical leave

Health and Community Services Minister John Ottenheimer today returned from a two-month medical leave to resume his ministerial responsibilities.

"I�m pleased to be back and would like to thank the Premier as well as my cabinet and caucus colleagues for their continued support and best wishes," said Minister Ottenheimer. "I would also like to recognize the outstanding work of both Minister Tom Marshall and Minister Loyola Sullivan who served in an acting capacity during my absence."

Minister Ottenheimer also thanked the constituents of St. John�s East for their patience and understanding over the last couple of months.

Minister Ottenheimer had been on medical leave since March 29, 2005 following surgery required to implant a permanent pace maker.
