Premier expressed
condolences, shock at events in London
Premier Danny Williams today
expressed his shock and profound sadness upon hearing of the tragic
events in London, England.
"On behalf of the people of Newfoundland and Labrador, I wish to
express sincere condolences to the families and friends of those who
have tragically lost their lives or been injured as a result of the
violent and senseless attacks in London this morning," said Premier
Williams. "We can never begin to understand what motivates such
violence against innocent individuals, and I join with other leaders
in condemning these unspeakable crimes.
The thoughts and prayers of Newfoundlanders and Labradorians are
with the people of the United Kingdom during this terrible time,
especially those who will work to bring to justice the individuals
responsible for today�s events."
