Court injunction issued

Tom Rideout, Minister of Transportation and Works, announced last evening that the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador has secured a court injunction to order protesters not to obstruct the entrances to the Confederation Building Complex and the Petten Building.

"We expect the FFAW and its members to respect this order of the court," Minister Rideout said. "We look forward to a complete resumption of government business, including the House of Assembly, on Tuesday."

By order of the court, a copy of the court injunction accompanies this release. Government continues to monitor the situation and will provide further updates as they become necessary.
