Joan Burke, Minister Responsible for the Status of Women and Minister of Human Resources, Labour and Employment, has proclaimed February 13-19, 2005 as Women’s Institute Week in Newfoundland and Labrador. Joining her for the proclamation signing were Shirley Fraize, Newfoundland and Labrador Women’s Institutes president elect and Jane Laite, St. John’s district representative.
