NOTE TO EDITORS: Photo opportunity - Minister to present cheque to Newfoundland and Labrador Conservation Corps� Climate Change Education Centre

Environment and Conservation Minister Tom Osborne will present a cheque in the amount of $15,000 to the Newfoundland and Labrador Climate Change Education Centre tomorrow (Wednesday, July 27) in support of climate change initiatives undertaken by the Centre. The cheque presentation will take place at 10 a.m. at the Conservation Corps office, 267 Duckworth Street, St. John�s.

�One of the action items outlined in our provincial Climate Change Action Plan that we released two weeks ago was to continue our support for the Newfoundland and Labrador Conservation Corps� Climate Change Education Centre,� said Minister Osborne. �We are following through on that commitment and are proud to assist the Conservation Corps in carrying out valuable outreach and public education programs related to climate change.�
