Environment and Conservation Minister Tom Osborne has announced the following event relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act.

ENVIRONMENTAL PREVIEW REPORT REQUIRED:

South Brook (Pasadena) Watercourse Channel Relocation                        (Reg. 1187)
Proponent: Town of Pasadena

The minister has advised the proponent that an Environmental Preview Report (EPR) is required for this project. The EPR is necessary to address deficiencies in the registration document in an effort to determine the significance of any environmental effects. The EPR will primarily require the proponent to address technical and economical alternatives to and within the project and the environmental effects of each. An Environmental Assessment Committee will be appointed to provide advice to the minister on the guidelines and on the EPR when it is received from the proponent. The public will be invited to provide comments on the EPR upon its submission.
