Minister assures college and students that no closures planned

John Ottenheimer, Minister of Youth Services and Post-Secondary Education assures the administration of the College of the North Atlantic and its students that there are no planned campus closures. The minister was responding to comments made yesterday by the opposition critic.

"It was irresponsible on the part of the opposition critic to make such an unfounded alarming comment. Government has not discussed or considered the campus closures that she has identified. This sort of statement unnecessarily alarms communities, residents and students and it is most unfortunate. I assure students, staff and administration of the College of the North Atlantic that no closures are planned."
