Christmas Lights Across Canada ceremony 

Tom Rideout, Minister of Transportation and Works, will host the annual Christmas Lights Across Canada ceremony on Thursday, December 2, at 6:15 p.m. in the main lobby of Confederation Building, East Block. This is part of a national celebration as provincial capitals across the country turn on their Christmas lights. 

Minister Rideout will bring greetings on behalf of the provincial government and Shane Skinner, son of St. Johnís Centre MHA Shawn Skinner, will turn on the lights. Well known traditional singer Anita Best will serve as Master of Ceremonies. Entertainment will be provided by the St. Theresaís School Choir and the Salvation Army St. Johnís Citadel Band. Members of the general public and media are invited to attend.
