Road work announced for Gander District

Tom Rideout, Minister of Transportation and Works, and Kevin OBrien, MHA, today announced road work for the District of Gander valued at $520,000.

"In keeping with governments commitment to a sound, safe and reliable transportation network, road users in the district of Gander will see improvements in their infrastructure," said Minister Rideout. "Specifically, there are plans to upgrade and pave a section of Route 330 as well as repairing three frost bumps on the Trans Canada Highway, east of the Benton intersection. I anticipate that tenders will be issued shortly."

MHA Kevin OBrien said: "I am delighted that this road work will be carried out in the district under this program, especially on the Gander Bay Road which serves as the main connection for much of the region. These upgrades will enhance Ganders role as the main service area for the region."
