Roads Update - April 7 - 4:00 p.m.

AVALON REGION

Route 91, Colinet Road has reopened to two way traffic.

Route 101, Long Harbour Road (from Route 100 to Route 202) is CLOSED indefinitely due to a major washout. An alternate route is available.

Route 102 Ship Harbour Road is open in ONE LANE ONLY at Rattling Brook. There is still water on the road. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when traveling through this area.

EASTERN REGION

The Trans Canada Highway approximately 2.5 kilometres west of Whitbourne is open to ONE LANE TRAFFIC ONLY. Heavy equipment is operating in the area.. Traffic is being controlled with flag persons. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when traveling through the area.

The Burin Peninsula Highway, Route 210, between Swift Current and the Terrenceville turnoff has several areas where the shoulders have been washed out and the highway has been reduced to ONE LANE ONLY.

CENTRAL REGION

Route 370, Buchans Highway, approximately four kilometres east of Buchans, is reduced to ONE LANE ONLY due to shoulder washouts.

WESTERN REGION

The Burgeo Road, Route 480, has been reduced to ONE LANE ONLY in the area of Top Pond, about 40 kilometres north of Burgeo. Heavy equipment is working in the area. Motorists are advised to use extreme caution when traveling through the area.
