NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to present Ambassador of Hospitality Award, Eastport

Tourism, Culture and Recreation Minister Paul Shelley will be in Eastport this weekend to present Hospitality Newfoundland and Labrador�s Ambassador of Hospitality Award to Walter Pinsent, a resident of Eastport, for his long-standing contribution to the local tourism industry. The minister will present the award at the Eastpen Player�s Summer Sizzler Concert to take place at 8:00 p.m. tomorrow (September 4) at the Beaches Heritage Centre, Eastport. Paul Oram, MHA for Terra Nova District, will accompany Minister Shelley at the event.

The Ambassador of Hospitality Award, given annually, recognizes individuals or groups who, through their careers, private lives or volunteer work, show dedication to the promotion and development of the tourism industry in Newfoundland and Labrador. Ambassadors have been selected from a wide range of areas such as the arts, broadcasting, entertainment, business and education.
