National Juvenile Hoop Scores

The Newfoundland Men's 2005 Canada Games Basketball Team dropped their second straight game at the National Juvenile(U17) Championships, in Saskatchewan today, 91-65 to the host province, Saskatchewan. The top scorers for Newfoundland were unavailable. The men's team will face New Brunswick tonight at 12:00 p.m. Newfoundland time.

The Newfoundland Ladies team dropped their 2nd and 3rd games of the tournament to Quebec and Saskatchewan. Newfoundland lost 68-40 to Quebec. The top scorer was Vickie Thistle of St. John's with 8 points and 13 rebounds. Newfoundland ladies also dropped a 71-48 decision to the host, Saskatchewan team. The top scorers were Vickie Thistle with 15 points and 10 rebounds while Kendelle Kavanagh of St. John's, chipped in with 12 points and 4 rebounds. The ladies next game is Thursday against Alberta.
