NLBA 2004 Annual General Meeting

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association (NLBA) are hosting their annual general meeting this weekend, June 25-26, in St. John�s at Holiday Inn. Some of the items included on the agenda include: CBET, Center for Performance-Atlantic, CIS Rules, Hall of Fame Cup, Senior and Minor Championships.

The NLBA will also recognize the recipients of this year�s NLBA awards, which include:

Achievement Awards

     Allana Walsh-Giovaninni St. Lawrence
     Frank Power  Cowan Heights Minor League, St. John�s
     John Elkins Prince of Wales Collegiate, St. John�s

Male Minor Coach of the Year

     Charlie Barker  Elwood High, Deer Lake

Female Minor Coach of the Year

     Colleen Hogan  St. John Bosco, Shea Hts.

Elite Coach of the Year

     Scott Lynch Provincial Midget Girls and Mount Pearl High

President�s Award David Constantine, Dunville - Recipient
Presented by the president to an individual who has contributed significantly to the board over the past year.

Mark Jones, current president of the association, will not be seeking re-election as president.
