Basketball developmental team coaches

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association is now accepting applications for individuals interested in becoming head coaches of the boys and girls developmental teams for the summer of 2004. The programs will be made up of boys and girls between the ages of 14-17 years of age who are not selected to the provincial programs during the Easter selection camps. The programs will provide an avenue for athletes to continue to develop their skills and prepare for the future.

Coaches for these programs will not be obligated to fund raise and travel outside the province unless they choose to do so. Coaches will also be expected to attend the Easter tryout camps slated for Easter week in St. John�s. They will be expected to train with the athletes at various sessions over the spring and summer to develop skills and enhance the athletes� overall basketball game.

Interested coaches are asked to send their resume to the NLBA prior to the March 10 deadline. For additional information, please feel free to contact the provincial office at 576-0247.
