NLIS 2 December 1, 2004 (Innovation, Trade and Rural Development) Local marine companies to participate in New Orleans trade show Kathy Dunderdale, Minister of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development, announced today that her department will lead a delegation of Newfoundland and Labrador companies to participate in the 2004 International Workboat Show in New Orleans. The show runs December 1-3 and is the largest commercial trade show and conference of its type in North America. "Newfoundland and Labrador�s ocean industries sector has grown in recent years to become a respected participant in the world�s maritime industry," said Minister Dunderdale. "We have a number of innovative marine-related companies in the province and I believe exhibitions such as this will help promote the strength of our ocean industry sector." Newfoundland and Labrador companies exhibiting at the show include marine industrial suppliers, manufacturers, and marine technology firms. They are:
InCoreTec Incorporated, in addition to exhibiting will also present two technical papers at the conference portion of the show. The Department of Innovation, Trade and Rural Development has led a provincial delegation to the trade show since 1991 which has generated significant results for Newfoundland and Labrador companies. Participating companies in the 2003 show reported sales in excess of one million dollars. The International Workboat Show is North America�s premier trade show for inland and coastal marine technology companies. Products and services highlighted at the trade show include marine navigation and lighting equipment, marine communications products, and radar systems.
