Legislature to open March 18

Government House Leader Ed Byrne announced today the House of Assembly will open on Thursday, March 18 at 2:00 p.m. His Honour Lieutenant-Governor Edward Roberts will open the first session of the 45th General Assembly of the legislature with the reading of the Speech from the Throne.

"As a government, we are very much looking forward to opening the House of Assembly and getting down to the business of the legislature," said Minister Byrne. "We will hear the Speech from the Throne and, in the days following, we will bring down our first budget. Throughout this process, we will lay out our plans to implement our agenda for economic growth, job creation and a revitalized Newfoundland and Labrador."
