NOTE TO EDITORS:

Community consultations on the Child, Youth and Family Services Act in Western

Community consultations on the Child, Youth and Family Services Act will be in the western region next week. The purpose of the consultations, being conducted by the Ministers Advisory Committee, is to solicit input from key stakeholders who are service providers or recipients under the act. The information gathered by the Ministers Advisory Committee during these discussions will help form the basis of a report to the minister on the operations of the act.

The committee is available for pre-scheduled meetings with individual members of the public with separate sessions for those currently receiving services under the act. Stakeholder workshops have also been scheduled for invited representatives from government, and health and community groups involved in the delivery of services to children, youth and families. Please contact the committees toll-free number below for more information or to make an appointment to meet with members of the committee.

For further information, please visit the committees Web site at www.gov.nl.ca/health and select the link to the Ministers Advisory Committee.
