The following is being distributed at the request of the Council of Atlantic Premiers:

NOTE TO EDITORS: 10th session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers

Premier John Hamm will host and chair the Council of Atlantic Premiers� meeting to be held in Wolfville, Nova Scotia on June 21 and 22, 2004. Premiers Bernard Lord, Danny Williams, and Pat Binns will be in attendance. The premiers will focus their discussions on health care funding and reform, and regional economic development.

The meeting will commence at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, at the K.C. Irving Environmental Science Centre at Acadia University in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. A photo opportunity will be available between 8:30 to 8:45 a.m. on June 22 in the Acadia Room. A news conference will be held in the auditorium at 11:00 a.m. Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided during the news conference. News releases issued from the meeting will be distributed by each province�s communications office following the meeting, and will be accessible at www.cap-cpma.ca.

A media working area will be located in Classroom LL, located on the lower level of the Science Centre and will be available beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 22.

All media representatives, including journalists, photographers, camera operators, and technicians, are requested to register by submitting their name, affiliation, and contact information by June 17.

PLEASE NOTE: All registered media will be notified directly of any changes to the meeting schedule.
