Meeting of the Council of Atlantic Ministers of Education and Training

Madeleine Dub�, New Brunswick Minister of Education, will host and chair the Council of Atlantic Ministers of Education and Training (CAMET) meeting to be held in Moncton, New Brunswick on August 26. Margaret-Ann Blaney, New Brunswick Minister of Training and Employment Development, John Ottenheimer, Newfoundland and Labrador Minister of Education, Jamie Muir, Nova Scotia Minister of Education, and Mildred Dover, Prince Edward Island Minister of Education, will be in attendance. The ministers will consider regional initiatives to improve overall student learning and to support curriculum implementation for the coming year, and how the provinces can work collaboratively with the federal government in areas of mutual interest and concern.

A news conference will be held at the Wild Rose Inn, 17 Baseline Road, in Moncton, at 1:30 p.m. Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided during the news conference. News releases issued from the meeting will be distributed by each province's communications office following the meeting, and will be accessible at www.camet-camef.ca.
