Public library services during strike

Effective immediately, most public libraries in Newfoundland and Labrador will be closed as a result of a strike by the Canadian Union of Public Employees. Public computer access sites located in those libraries will also be closed.

Reduced library services, as well as limited public computer services, are being provided in the Corner Brook, Gander and St. John's (Arts and Culture Centre) Public Libraries.

Corner Brook Public Library                                                            (709) 634-0013
       Gander Public Library                                                                     (709) 651-5354
St. John's Public Library (Arts and Culture Centre only)                     (709) 737-2133

If you have overdue books, please return them after the strike is over. If you have any fines owing, they will be waived during the period of the strike. However, fines due before or after the strike will still apply.

Full public library and public computer access services will be restored as soon as the strike is over.
