NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to release Beyond High School study Anna Thistle, Minister of Youth Services and Post-Secondary Education, will hold a news conference on Tuesday, May 6, 2003, at 10:00 a.m., in the Media Centre, Ground Floor, East Block, Confederation Building to release Beyond High School: A Follow-Up Study of June 2001 Graduates. Beyond High School documents the results the Department of Youth Services and Post-Secondary Education�s survey of June 2001 high school graduates to explore post-graduation activities and factors that influence their decisions. For those graduates who chose to engage in post-secondary studies after high school, areas investigated include reasons for attending institutions, levels of satisfaction and long-term career plans. The report also examines areas related to those graduates who did not attend post-secondary including barriers to post-secondary education, reasons for not attending post-secondary, current activities and future plans.
