Molson menís provincial hoop championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will host the final two senior Molson provincial championships for the 2003 season, this weekend, April 25-27.

The menís division I championships will take place at St. Kevinís High School in the Goulds with a total of six teams competing for the title. Teams entered include: Humpty Dumpty, Nova Physio, Greensleeves, Holy Cross, Extreme Pita and the Goulds Menís League.

The Ed Browne Masters event will take place in Baie Verte this weekend with a total of 12 teams competing. Teams include the Torbay Gym Rats, Greensleeves, Big Bens, Avalon Steamatic and Atlantic XL from St. Johnís, Kennedyís Pharmachoice from Mount Pearl, Woodmanís from CBN, Peninsula Wonders of Burin, Western Hoopsters of Corner Brook, Pasadena All Stars and the hosts Baie Verte All stars and Baie Verte 73s.

Play for both events is scheduled to get underway Friday afternoon and the championship games are slated for Sunday.
