NOTE TO EDITORS: Minister to attend ceremony designating the Town of Tilting as first Provincial Heritage District, Saturday, June 21, in Tilting.

Education Minister Gerry Reid, on behalf of Tourism, Culture and Recreation Minister Julie Bettney, will attend a ceremony to mark the designation of the Town of Tilting as the first Provincial Heritage District. The ceremony will take place in the Town of Tilting on Saturday, June 21. The minister will be joined by Irish Minister for Trade and Commerce, Michael Ahern, who is chairman of the Ireland Newfoundland Partnership Board, and by His Excellency Martin Burke, the Irish Ambassador to Canada, as well as Ruth Canning, chair of the Heritage Foundation of Newfoundland and Labrador.
