Water and sewer contract awarded for Town of Port Hope Simpson

Yvonne Jones, MHA for Cartwright - L�Anse au Clair, announced on behalf of Oliver Langdon, Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, $453,197 in funding for water and sewer infrastructure in the Town of Port Hope Simpson.

Minister Jones said: "Our government is committed to providing infrastructure that meets the needs of communities along the south coast of Labrador. I am pleased with the progress we have made in meeting the demand for services in the community. I will continue to work with the community and government to secure funding for the remaining phases identified by the town."

The tender has been awarded to Budgell�s Equipment and Rentals Ltd. The work to be completed is Part One of Phase Four and will provide nine new water and sewer services from Pioneer Road to Bowater Avenue.
