The following is being distributed at the request of the Emergency Operations Centre in Badger:

Crews have begun work to remove ice from town roads. First priorities are Main Street and Maple Street.

The sewer system in the dry area of town has been isolated and activated. This will eliminate the potential for further damage to homes and further environmental damage. The lift station on Maple Street is also now in service.

This is preparatory work at this stage so that road and sewer work can be resolved by the time the State of Emergency is lifted.

Residents are cautioned the Town of Badger is still under the declared State of Emergency and that only emergency personnel should be in the town.
