Mines and Energy Minister addresses NOIA luncheon

Ed Byrne, Minister of Mines and Energy, addressed the luncheon meeting of the Newfoundland and Labrador Oceans Industries Association (NOIA) today. During his speech, Minister Byrne outlined a number of the key priorities of the provincial government to further develop the oil and gas industry in this province.

These priorities include: increased exploration; the development of the next oil project offshore; the importance of pursuing developments in natural gas; and, the need to resolve outstanding boundary issues.
