The following is being distributed at the request of the Council of Atlantic Premiers:

NOTE TO EDITORS: 8th Session of the Council of Atlantic Premiers

Premier Patrick Binns will host and chair the Council of Atlantic Premiers� meeting to be held in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island on June 18, 2003. Premiers Bernard Lord, Roger Grimes and John Hamm will be in attendance. The premiers� agenda topics will include auto insurance and the upcoming Annual Premiers� Conference. Central to the discussion will be federal/provincial relations.

The meeting will commence at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 18, at the Atlantic Technology Centre, 90 University Avenue in Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. A press conference will be held at 3:30 p.m. in the "Theatre", lower level. Simultaneous interpretation services will be provided during the press conference. News releases issued from the meeting will be distributed by each province�s communications office following the meeting, and will be accessible at www.cap-cpma.ca.

The media working area will be located in Meeting Room C, Business Centre, 2nd Floor, and will be available at 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 18, 2003.

Please note: All registered media will be notified directly of any changes to the meeting schedule.

All media representatives, including journalists, photographers, camera operators, and technicians, are requested to register by submitting their name, affiliation, and contact information to the address below by June 16, 2003.
