NOTE TO EDITORS: Premier to address Canadian Federation of Students, Ottawa, May 16

In a letter to Premier Roger Grimes on April 22, 2003, Ian Boyko, National Chairperson for the Canadian Federation of Students wrote: "Given your government�s impressive record on tuition fees and loan forgiveness, we would be delighted if you were able to give the keynote address. From St. John�s to Victoria, our members are very encouraged by the fee reductions introduced in Newfoundland and Labrador in recent years, and are eager to hear your government outline its vision for accessibility to post secondary education."

Premier Grimes will address the 43rd semi-annual national general meeting of the Canadian Federation of Students on Friday, May 16. The event is being held at Carleton University in Ottawa, Ontario at 2:00 p.m.
