Premier announces appointment to Bull Arm Site Corporation

Premier Roger Grimes today announced the appointment of Carl Cooper as vice-president of the Bull Arm Site Corporation. Mr. Cooper moves from his position as director of communications in the Premiers Office.

Mr. Coopers move comes as the province makes plans to increase its marketing and communications efforts toward attracting new business to the Bull Arm Site.

"Mr. Coopers wealth of experience in the marketing and communications field, combined with his solid business contacts developed while working at the Department of Mines and Energy, make him the right person to take on this enhanced business attraction effort at the Bull Arm Site," said the Premier.

"Our focused efforts to attract business will be directed to companies planning to build offshore oil and gas structures or engage in other heavy industry activities," said the Premier. "The Bull Arm Site is a world-class fabrication facility which was built to meet the rigorous demands of the offshore petroleum industry. With enhanced communications and marketing programs, the province will be in a better position to continue to attract future work at the site."

Mr. Coopers appointment is effective immediately.
