Minister Osborne said, "I am pleased to approve funding for these worthwhile waste management projects in various communities around the province. Government is committed to a cleaner, safer environment and these projects will help us move forward in our progressive waste management efforts."

"I am pleased with the success of the trust fund initiative," said Mr. Seabright. "The implementation of these projects has helped clean up our communities, educate the public, and divert waste from our landfills. MMSB is committed to working with the regional waste management committees and communities, as well as other stakeholders to develop and implement new waste diversion programs for the province."

The Newfoundland and Labrador Waste Management Trust Fund provides financial assistance to help develop and implement waste management initiatives in Newfoundland and Labrador.
