NLIS 2 May 30, 2003 (Environment) Environmental Assessment Bulletin Environment Minister Bob Mercer has announced the following events relative to Part 10 Environmental Assessment of the Environmental Protection Act. UNDERTAKING REGISTERED:
The proponent proposes to create a marine service base for Cooper Cameron Canada Ltd. This service base will require the infilling of the Bay Roberts harbour to create approximately three acres of land, the construction of four new buildings and a 46.5 metre extension to the existing marginal wharf. The service base will be located to the west of Harbour International Ltd. in Bay Roberts and just east of Mariner Lounge. The four buildings will comprise of a workshop/warehouse, a service area, office and a solid waste building. The proposed undertaking is to be available to Cooper Cameron Canada Ltd. by January, 2004. The project was registered on May 29, 2003; public comments are due by July 4, 2003; and the minister�s decision is due July 13, 2003. The minister encourages all interested parties to become involved and to make comments known. Comments on submitted documents are invited from the public, addressed in writing to the minister, and are welcome prior to the deadline date shown.
