NOTE TO EDITORS:

On October 17 and 18, the Literacy Branch of the Department of Education is hosting the 4th Atlantic Region Workplace/Workforce Institute at the Fairmont Hotel. The institute is being chaired by Linda Coles, executive director of the Literacy Branch. On Friday, October 17 at 8:30 a.m., Senator Joan Cook will bring greetings from the Government of Canada. She will be followed by keynote speaker Scott Murray, director general, Institutions and Social Statistics Branch, Statistics Canada, at 9:15 a.m.
