Visitor passes to be introduced in Confederation Complex

Effective Monday, October 28, visitors to the Confederation Complex will be required to check in with security and obtain a visitor pass while visiting the Complex. When visitors enter the Complex, they will sign in at a security desk in either the East or West Block lobby where security will issue a pass to be worn for the duration of the visit. The new visitor protocols are part of governments on-going commitment to help enhance the safety and security of visitors and employees in government buildings.

Also effective October 28, couriers picking up and delivering packages to departments will also have to obtain a visitor pass from a security desk.

"We are pleased to be introducing these new protocols as they play an important role in our efforts to help protect the well-being of both visitors and employees in public buildings," said Percy Barrett, Minister of Works, Services and Transportation.
