Road upgrades planned for St. Barbe district

Minister of Works, Services and Transportation Percy Barrett, announced today government will carry out a number of road improvement projects in the district of St. Barbe.

"This department strives to improve the transportation infrastructure of the province and we are glad to invest in road projects for this district as part of our provincial roads program," said Minister Barrett.

The department plans to pave the approach to the new ramp at the St. Barbe ferry terminal; upgrade and pave the main road in Anchor Point; and resurface sections of roads in Port Saunders and Port au Choix. The department expects to call tenders for the projects over the next several weeks.
