Roads upgrades will allow for better driving in Bonavista North

Works, Services and Transportation Minister Percy Barrett announced today that roads in the district of Bonavista North will be upgraded this year as part of the provincial roads program.

"I am very pleased to announce these upgrades to roads in the area," said Minister Barrett. "The improvements will make for better driving for motorists traveling in the area."

The department plans to upgrade and pave a section of Route 320 from Trinity towards Indian Bay; upgrade and pave the road to Pool�s Island; as well as replace the handrail on the bridge in Newtown (NewWesValley).

The department expects to call tenders for the projects over the next several weeks.
