Upgraded roads planned for The Straits and White Bay North

Percy Barrett, Works, Services and Transportation Minister, announced today residents of The Straits and White Bay North area can expect improvements along the Northern Peninsula Highway this year.

"We plan to pulverize and re-pave a section of Route 430 between Green Island Brook and Eddie�s Cove East," said Minister Barrett. "This area is in need of repair and we are glad that plans will soon be underway to carry out work here."

The department expects to call tenders for the projects over the next couple of months.
