Transportation minister welcomes national forum to province

The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador will be hosting the annual conference of the Canadian Transportation Research Forum in St. Johns from May 12 -15.

The Canadian Transportation Research Forum (CTRF) consists of 300 to 400 individuals employed with organizations such as Transport Canada, the Canadian Transportation Agency, academic institutions and private industry, who work to improve Canadas transportation systems.

"I am very pleased to welcome members of the CTRF to the province," said Percy Barrett, Works, Services and Transportation Minister. "The conference is important to this province and the entire country because it provides members of Canadas transportation industry and technical and academic experts the opportunity to exchange ideas, research results and to discuss issues in transportation."
