NLIS 4 August 14, 2002 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: National girls basketball championships The Newfoundland and Labrador juvenile girls basketball team lost to Quebec 95-51 at the National Juvenile Championships in New Brunswick this morning. The half time score was 43 to 13 in favor of Quebec. The top scorers for Newfoundland and Labrador were Meghan Dalton of Conception Bay with 10 points and Paula Barker of Deer Lake with nine points.
