National girls basketball championships

The midget girls basketball team fell 61 � 42 to the Manitoba Team. The game was played on August 13 at 4:00 p.m. The half time score was 33 to 25 in favor of Manitoba. The Top scorers for Newfoundland and Labrador were Stephanie Foo of Corner Brook with nine points and Alana Cahill from St. John�s with eight. The midget girls are set to play again at 4:00 this afternoon where they will be facing the team from Alberta.
