NLIS 5 April 18, 2002 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Provincial Pepsi Basketball Championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will host 10 Minor Pepsi Provincial Championships this weekend, April 19-21 involving over 70 teams in various parts of the province. The East Coast U16 Boys "A" event is scheduled for Dunne Academy in St. Mary�s, while Laval will play host to the "B " division. St. Catherine�s Academy in Mt. Carmel will host the East Coast U16 Girls event. The West Coast U16 Boys event will be held at Elwood in Deer Lake while the West U16 Girls event will take place at Herdman Collegiate in Corner Brook. The East Coast U14 Girls will be held in Avondale at Roncalli High while the East Coast U14 Boys "A" is slated for Baltimore High in Ferryland. The East Under 14 Boys "B" tournament will be hosted by Mobile High. The West Coast U14 Boys event will take place at St. James School in Port aux Basque while G.C. Rowe in Corner Brook will host the West Coast U14 Girls Tournament. Tournament play will commence on Friday afternoon and continue until Sunday afternoon.
