NLIS 4 April 11, 2002 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Provincial Pepsi Basketball Championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will host five Bantam (Under 13) Pepsi Minor Provincial Championships this weekend, April 12-13 in various parts of the province. A total of 45 teams will compete in five separate locations. Fatima Academy in St. Bride�s and Laval High of Placentia will host the East Coast Bantam Boy�s Championships, while Indian River in Springdale hosts the West Coast Championships. The East Coast Bantam "A" Girls event will be hosted in Mount Pearl Junior High while Baltimore will play host to the Girls "B" championship. G.C. Rowe of Corner Brook will host the West Coast Bantam Girls Championships. All events will commence on Friday and will conclude Saturday evening with the championship games.
