Labatt Senior Volleyball Championships

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association is hosting the Labatt Senior Men�s A and B and Women�s A, B and C provincial championships this weekend (March 15-16). The tournaments will be held in Gander and Grand Falls-Windsor.

Senior Men�s A will be a very exciting eight team tournament to be played in Grand Falls-Windsor at Exploits Valley High Maple and Leo Burke. The tournament is spilt into two divisions of four. The tournament starts at both gyms at 6 p.m. Friday.

Senior Men�s B is going to be a fight to the end, when 19 teams take to the courts in Gander with gold on their minds. The tournament is being held at Gander Collegiate, St.Paul's, the Base and Lakewood Academy of Glenwood. All action starts Friday at around 5 p.m.

Ladies A is going to come down to who wants it more when the seven teams go out to claim the gold. This tournament will be a very close right from the start when the ladies take the courts in Gander. The ladies will be playing at St. Paul's Friday with action scheduled to go at 5 p.m.

Ladies B will be sweating it out on the courts in Grand Falls-Windsor. Ladies B is made up of 20 very competitive teams, which will prove to be a very exciting tournament. The ladies will be playing in Sprucewood, EVH Greenwood Division, and also in Botwood Collegiate. Action is set to start at 5:30 p.m. Friday.

Ladies C will also be held in Grand Falls-Windsor at the Grenfell Intermediate and Millcrest. These games are starting at 5:30 p.m. The tournament in an eight-team tournament.

All tournaments will be starting Friday between 5 - 6 p.m. and ending late Saturday evening, so come on out and watch this great tournament.
