2002 Provincial Programs Basketball Tryouts

The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador:

The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold provincial tryout camps on April 4-6 at the Provincial Training Center and Memorial University in St. John�s. The camps will be held to select athletes for the Midget and Juvenile Boys and Girls Summer Provincial Programs. Athletes selected to the Juvenile and Midget Girls Programs will attend the National Championships in New Brunswick while the Juvenile and Midget Boys Programs will take place in Alberta.

Applications have been forwarded to all schools on the island and in Labrador. Athletes must pre-register prior to the March 22 deadline. Applications are available by contacting your local basketball coach or Margaret Kennedy at the provincial office at (709) 576-0247. You can download an application by logging onto our Web site at www.nlba.nf.ca under Provincial Teams.
