NLIS 4 March 7, 2002 (Tourism, Culture and Recreation) The following is being distributed at the request of Sport Newfoundland and Labrador: Molson Senior Hoop Championships The Newfoundland and Labrador Basketball Association will hold two senior basketball championships this weekend, March 8-10. The 2002 Molson Senior Men�s Division II Provincial Basketball Championships will be held in Gander at St. Paul�s and Gander Collegiate schools. A total of 12 teams are entered in the tourney. Teams include: Stephenville, Gander, Grenfell College of Corner Brook and Jugheads, Northern Lite, Molson�s, East Side Mario�s, East Can Transport, All Around Bay, Jungle Jim�s, Creative Brick and Sealand Marine of the St. John�s Men�s League. The 2002 Molson Men�s Division IV Championship will be hosted at the Provincial Training Center, in St. John�s. Eight teams competing include St. Lawrence, Burin, Marystown, Woodman�s of CBN, and M-5 Advertisement, McInnis, Dawe�s and Metro from the St. John�s Leagues. Tournament play commences at 3:30 p.m. Friday and will conclude with the championship games slated for 2:00 p.m. Both events are sponsored by Molson Brewery, the official sponsor of senior basketball in Newfoundland and Labrador.
