Results from junior high girls and boys volleyball tournament

The Newfoundland and Labrador Volleyball Association held the Pepsi Junior High Girls and Boys Provincial Championships this past weekend. The girl�s tournament was held at a number of schools around St. John�s with 32 teams involved in the event. The boy�s event was held in Stephenville with 12 teams taking part.

The girl�s tournament started Friday night with the teams divided into eight divisions. At the end of the Friday night the top two teams in each division were placed in the 4 Division Tier 1 event, the 3rd place team moved in to Tier 2 and the fourth place team in Tier 3. The eventual playoff results and winners of the three tournaments were as follows:

Semi-final - G.C. Rowe defeated Amalgamated - 25-18, 25-27, 16-14
Semi-final - E.V.H. defeated Frank Roberts 9�s - 25-19, 25-18

Bronze Medal
Frank Roberts defeated Amalgamated - 25-22, 25-23

Gold Medal
E.V.H defeated G.C.Rowe - 25-17, 25-17
