NOTE TO EDITORS:

The Province of Newfoundland and Labrador, Parks Canada and the Canadian Heritage Rivers Board invite media representatives to the unveiling of a plaque recognizing the designation of the Main River to the Canadian Heritage Rivers System (CHRS).

The Main River is a unique river environment, which was nominated to the CHRS on the basis of its outstanding heritage and recreational values.

The Main River is the first in Newfoundland and Labrador to be designated a Canadian Heritage River.

Date:  Friday, November 15
Time:  1:00 p.m.
Place: Sop�s Arm Park
          Sop�s Arm, Newfoundland and Labrador
          (In case of inclement weather, the event will be held at the Main River Academy, gymnasium)
