NOTE TO EDITORS: News conference, October 4, re: French Heritage 2004 celebrations

Premier Roger Grimes and Julie Bettney, Minister of Tourism, Culture and Recreation, will hold a news conference at 10:00 a.m. Friday, October 4, at the Fairmont Hotel. Premier Grimes and Minister Bettney will be joined by Jean-Guy Dionne, president of the Francophone Federation of Newfoundland and Labrador. Premier Grimes will be making an announcement regarding French Heritage 2004 celebrations to recognize the 500th anniversary of French presence in Newfoundland and Labrador.
