NOTE TO EDITORS:

On Saturday, February 23, 2002, the 2002 Newfoundland and Labrador Winter Games begin in Gander, Newfoundland. Premier Roger Grimes, Tourism, Culture and Recreation Minister Kevin Aylward and Sandra Kelly, MHA for the District of Gander, will participate in the Opening Ceremonies, which are being held at the Gander Community Centre and begin at 6:30 p.m.
