NOTE TO EDITORS:

Lloyd L.W. Wicks, Independent Chair, Avalon Waste Management Community Consultative Committee, and Oliver Langdon, Minister of Municipal and Provincial Affairs, will hold a news conference tomorrow (Wednesday, November 13), at 11:00 a.m. in the Media Centre, Ground Floor, East Block, Confederation Building. The independent chair will present a report to Minister Langdon on the recommendations of the committee for a modern waste management system for the Avalon region. They will be joined by Kevin Aylward, Minister of Environment, and Randy Simms, President of the Newfoundland and Labrador Federation of Municipalities.

A technical briefing, commencing at 10:00 a.m., will precede the news conference.
