MHA will not seek nomination for federal by-election

Tom Lush, MHA - Terra Nova, wishes to advise the public that he will not be seeking the federal nomination for the by-election in the riding of Bonavista-Trinity-Conception.

"Though I have had federal political aspirations all of my adult life, I am convinced that at this point in time I would be a greater asset to the people of my district and of Newfoundland and Labrador with the provincial party," said Mr. Lush. "I�m extremely content to be serving under the leadership of Premier Roger Grimes.

"I believe Premier Grimes is doing a fantastic job in advancing public policy in the province and I look forward to continuing to contribute to his team and to assist him with re-election."

Mr. Lush added that he will be giving his full assistance and support to the Liberal federal candidate in the upcoming federal by-election.
